Army Units and Bases

The life of a soldier in the Imperial Army revolves around the base. There are 5 Army bases across the New Sarovian Empire, and in all games. These bases are essential for support and defense of their areas. These bases are:

  • Kiba Barracks (Sarholm, Blue Guards Headquarters)
  • Walker Barracks (Sarholm, I Corps Headquarters)
  • Atlas Barracks (Sarholm, II Corps Headquarters)
  • Fort Anvil (Rachaelsburg, Orios Headquarters)

Bases can hold many units within them, such as rifles, guards, cavalry, artillery and more. They serve as training facilities as well as areas for troops to socialize.

Imperial Army Order of Battle

The Imperial Army has a specific organization and hierarchy. It is a series of units, big and small, which form up the military arm of the federal government in order to enforce the Emperor’s will by force if necessary. This is known as it’s “order of battle”, which you can see below.

ROYAL SARHOLM REGIMENT (EN)

The Royal Sarholm Regiment (RSR) is the first Regiment in the Imperial Army, and is home to some of the Home Garrison’s Anglophone players. The RSR was first established in 2016 as the 1st Infantry Division, and fought all the way until the Great Wars where it was presented with the Royal distinction after its annihilation at the First Battle of Sorrel. The Division lived on until it was split between Duke Aaron and Dylan’s Regiment in 2019. When the Grand Restoration occurred in late 2020, the Regiment stood up as the First Division once again, though with the Iohannes Reforms of 2021, the regiment was renamed as the Royal Sarholm Regiment, after the capital city of the Empire. The RSR maintains its Regimental Headquarters (RHQ) at Walker Barracks, Sarholm.

When the Grand Restoration occurred in late 2020, the Regiment stood up as the Second Division once again, though with the Iohannes Reforms of 2021, the regiment was renamed after Vurgos City and transferred to II Corps. During the Jacobite Rebellion, both Lusophone regiments were consolidated into it before helping staff the Regimento de Kiev. The RDV maintains its Regimental Headquarters (RHQ) at Atlas Barracks, Sarholm.

When the Grand Restoration occurred in late 2020, the Regiment stood up as the Fourth Division, though with the Iohannes Reforms of 2021, the regiment was renamed after Province of Kiev and transferred to II Corps. During the Jacobite Rebellion, the Regiment was stolen by the Jacobite faction and fought against the legitimate government. On Victory in Sarovia Day, the Regiment surrendered itself to the Emperor and was stood up as a cavalry regiment. The RDK maintains its Regimental Headquarters (RHQ) at Atlas Barracks, Sarholm.

MODENA RIFLES REGIMENT (EN)

The Modena Rifles Regiment (MRR) is the fourth Regiment in the Imperial Army, and is home to some of the Home Garrison’s Anglophone players. They were first established in 2016 as the 2nd Infantry Division, which fought during the Autumnwood Campaigns all the way up to the Great Wars, until being redesignated as the 6th Light Infantry Division during the reign of Carolus XII. The Division lived on until, like the Royal Sarholm Regiment, it was split between Duke Aaron and Duke Dylan’s Regiments in 2019. It was restored to the original name during the Grand Restoration as a home for predominantly Filipino players until the Iohannes Reforms of 2021, when it was given its current name. It was stood down in 2021 but returned briefly during the Second Saro-Aurean War in 2022. It was returned more permanently in 2023. The MRR maintains its Regimental Headquarters (RHQ) at Walker Barracks, Sarholm.

CAPE BRIANNA INFANTRY REGIMENT (EN/LUS)

The Cape Brianna Infantry Regiment is the fifth Regiment in the Imperial Army and is home to the Primary Reserve Battalions of the Home Garrison. The Cape Brianna Infantry Regiment traces its lineage to the Regimental System of the Grand Army in 2020 under the 7th Regiment and was stood up as the 2nd Division during the Grand Restoration. A borderline mutiny by junior officers caused the regiment to split, and the remnants of the regiment were redesignated as a Primary Reserve Regiment under retired Imperial Engineer Cincinnis, who in turn eventually resigned in favor of former Constabulary Commissioner Scaebberd. Its goal is to house Imperial Army reservists, both voluntary and veterans, in case of times of battle and war, and has members of both languages. The CBIR maintains its Regimental Headquarters (RHQ) at Walker Barracks, Sarholm.
