Citizenship is a status any member of New Sarovia can attain in order to unlock the full breadth of what the community has to offer. When you first join New Sarovia, you’re classified as a Resident and have limited privileges and abilities, but Citizenship removes those limits nigh-entirely.
When you become a citizen, you gain the right to vote in referendums, the ability to hold high office, the right of protection under Sarovian law, and the ability to be paid in Saros, the community’s virtual currency. Citizens can also create companies, play in a major league hoquenna team or own one, and buy property in our Minecraft server; among many other things.
Perhaps most importantly, however, citizenship gives you the ability to join one of Sarovia’s many families, and therefore apply a Race to your persona within the community. Each Race confers specific perks on its members that the others do not have, so think carefully on what family you join!
