The Constabenne Imperial Saroviano, or Imperial Sarovian Constabulary, is the federal police force of New Sarovia, as well as in both its Colonies and its Dominions, with the exception of the Dominion of Philippia which maintains an independent police force. The Constabulary has three primary responsibilities, which are reflected in its two Divisions. Initially established by the Peace Officers Act of 282 with six divisions, years of reform and streamlining have condensed these down to two, each supervised by a Deputy Commissioner. The Constabulary itself is led by a Commissioner appointed by the Legeiellizo-Generalle with the permission of the Prime Minister.
The Investigative Division, mostly focused on Discord, is responsible for two of the Constabulary’s primary responsibilities: the investigation and prosecution of crimes, and the moderation of all non-military Sarovian Discord servers. In the event that offensive content and/or spam is posted in a public place, the Constabulary is empowered to act against them. To this effect, members of the Investigative Division possess certain moderation powers within most Sarovian Discord servers. Meanwhile, in the event that someone is suspected of a crime, members of the Investigative Division gather evidence and prepare a case for submission to the First Court.
The other division of the Constabulary is the Prime Minister’s Office Division, or PMO, which has a much simpler job: similar to how the famed Corsso eui Gardos Aluzos, a unit within the Imperial Sarovian Armed Forces, is charged with the protection of His Imperial Majesty the Emperor and select members of the Imperial Family, the PMO Division is charged with the protection of senior members of the Imperial Government as well as Members of Parliament. If you are a Member of Parliament or have ever sat in the public gallery during a meeting of the House of Commons, you may have noticed the Sergeant-at-Arms – this is a member of the PMO Division specifically tasked by the House of Commons with providing security for MPs and ensuring the Parliamentary Mace is not damaged.
